Baby Clinic (Well Baby)
Well Baby Development checks for 6 week old babies are offered at the Practice.
The NHS National Breast Screening Programme provides free screening for breast cancer for all women over the age of 50. If you're between 50 and 70 you should be routinely invited for a mammogram. Women over 70 are encouraged to make their own appointments.
It is recommended that cervical smear tests are carried out as follows:
- Between the ages of 25 and 49 years – every three years
- Between the ages of 50 and 64 years – every five years
Available by appointment with the Practice Nurses.
Immunisations Clinic held on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings by appointment between 09:00 – 12.00
When you receive your invitation please ring the surgery to book the appointment. If Tuesday/Wednesday mornings are not suitable let us know and we will try to accommodate you at a more convenient time.
Chlamydia is the most commonly diagnosed Sexually Transmitted infection in men and women. Most of the people who have this infection will have no symptoms. If you or your sexual partner remain untreated it can cause infertility.

Choose and Book
Choose and Book is a service that allows you to choose your hospital or clinic and book an appointment with a specialist. When you and your GP agree that you need to see a specialist you will be able to choose from a list of hospitals or clinics. You will also be able to choose the date and time of your appointment.

Contraceptive Services & Family Planning Clinic
Family Planning advice is available during normal consultation with the Doctors or by appointment with the Practice Nurses.
Flu & Pneumococcal Vaccination
These vaccinations are recommended for patients over the age of 65, patients suffering from with heart, lung, liver or kidney diseases, diabetes or residents of nursing homes. Please contact the surgery at the beginning of October for further details.
Prevention is better than cure. We take every opportunity to check on our patients’ health and offer advice on healthy living. We also offer a full range of special health promotion clinics by appointment with our practice nurses.

Community Link Worker
The Community Link Worker is a new addition to the Practice Team who can help you access local services. People who come into the surgery often have a range of issues that affect their health and wellbeing as well as their medical issues.
To access this service please ask the Doctor/Nurse or Receptionist for more details and to be referred.
