We welcome another member of our medical team, Mrsl Hazel Kneale, who is an Advanced Practitioner. This a new area of expertise which will bring a new dimension to our Practice Team and is a positive development.
What is an Advanced Practitioner?
An Advanced Practitioner is a registered Nurse who has completed advanced training and achieved academic qualifications to be able to examine, assess, make diagnosis, treat, prescribe and make referrals for patients who present with undiagnosed/undifferentiated problems.

The receptionists have the difficult job of keeping everything running smoothly. They are here to help you with any administrative or non-medical aspects of your health needs – but please remember that there are many difficult demands upon them. All are fully trained, and are bound by the same rule of confidentiality as the doctors.
We have a Health Trainer who comes to the surgery each week. Her role is to help patient's who would like to improve their wellbeing. This includes dietary advice, stop smoking, exercise (she will refer on to the relevant services), weight etc.
Please give your contact details (name, address and telephone number) to the Receptionist and she will pass them on. The Health Trainer will then contact you.
We have a Community Link Worker attached to the Practice. His role is to 'link' patients to services that may be of help in a practical way, ie financial issues, food banks, loneliness/isolation, bereavement, voluntary services, linking with like minded people in regards to hobbies etc. He has lots of knowledge about local services and can spend time with you understanding any issues you have affecting your health and wellbeing.
If you would like him to contact you please pass your details (name, address, telephone number) onto the Receptionist and he will contact you.
